Founded in 2018 in Sioux Falls, SD, Blue Star Investments is one of the fastest-growing franchise groups of Anytime Fitness. With a focus on both acquisitions and the development of new locations, we’ve expanded to 93 clubs across 17 states, bringing health and fitness to communities nationwide. Blue Star is now the 3rd-largest Anytime Fitness franchisee in the United States and was named the 2024 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchisee Association.

Meet the Team

  • Luke Andrus

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

    Luke joined Anytime Fitness in 2009 and took the helm at Blue Star in 2019 at 13 clubs. He had built the foundation, structure, and culture that drives us today. Luke leads the company’s growth strategy, forging key relationships and driving successful acquisitions across markets.

  • Mitch Staples

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Mitch joined Cresten Capital in 2024 and supports all brands under the Cresten umbrella, including Blue Star. He is the former Controller at Profile by Sanford Health, where he led financial operations through a private equity carve-out. Mitch is focused on driving long-term growth and impact at Cresten.

  • John Witzke

    VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

    John joined Blue Star in 2023 at 35 clubs. Prior to Blue Star, he spent six years with Victra/Verizon, supporting acquisition and integration efforts during a period of rapid national expansion that grew the company to more than 1,500 locations nationwide.

    Since joining BSI, John has advanced from Membership Sales Manager to Vice President of Sales. He created and now leads the company’s experience and sales strategy processes, while overseeing the day-to-day performance, leadership, and execution of field leaders and frontline teams across the organization.

  • Jordan Reyes

    SR. DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    Jordan joined Anytime Fitness in 2018 and Blue Star in 2020 at 18 clubs. She rose from Marketing Director to Director of Sales before moving into her current role. Jordan leads operations with a focus on scalable systems, process excellence, and building high-performing teams.

  • Dillon Shirry

    TERRITORY MANAGER

    Dillon joined Anytime Fitness in 2013 at a turnaround club facing competition. Over the years Dillon went on to manage a location of his own and start a personal training program at another, before becoming a Regional Manger, leading and growing staff.

    In 2022, Dillon joined Blue Star Investments as a Regional Manager overseeing locations in Louisiana. In 2024 Dillon was promoted to Territory Manager, overseeing 21 locations across the South Central market of Blue Star.

  • Richard Trappen

    TERRITORY MANAGER

    Ricky joined Anytime Fitness in 2010, focusing primarily on the Personal Training side of the business. For 15 years, he oversaw training departments, helping lead & grow Personal Trainers.

    In 2025, Ricky joined Blue Star Investments as a Territory Manager overseeing 24 locations in the northern half of the US. On top of the oversight of staff & club growth, he has helped in the innovation of data tracking tools & resources to keep BSI on task.
